Megan Thee Stallion is bringing back a very cheeky Y2K trend: bedazzled booty shorts. The rapper is prepping for another Hot Girl Summer with a cropped top and shorts set that would feel right at home circa 2004.

In the new photos, which she posted on Instagram on March 27, Megan wears an underboob-baring white cropped baby tee and matching short-shorts; the top says “Best Tits on Instagram” in pink rhinestone letters, while the shorts say “Best Ass on Instagram." The cropped top is also the perfect opportunity for Megan to show off her navel ring, another major mainstay of the glam and glittery Y2K era. In a few of the photos, she takes the '00s accessories one step further, pairing her pink-and-white set with sparkly translucent pink sunglasses and oversized glittery pink heart-shaped earrings. Slouchy white boots, a chunky silver link bracelet, and butt-length waves completed the look.

Cheeky graphic tees and shorts were a huge trend in the 2000s, whether you were wearing terrycloth or velour shorts with “Juicy” written across the butt or a “Jesus is my Homeboy” shirt. (Just Google “Britney Spears graphic tees” for an idea.) If your shirt didn't say something — preferably in rhinestones, like Megan's — did it even exist in the 2000s?

It probably comes as no surprise that fans were obsessed with the photo dump, filling up the comment section with heart-eye and fire emojis. But guess what? Megan had even more looks in store! The rapper also shared a video reminding the Hotties to start thinking about their tour outfits, and shared a few more Y2K-esque ‘fits for inspiration, like a strappy denim crop top and matching short shorts, a white cowboy hat paired with a cropped denim jacket and miniskirt, and a pink asymmetrical minidress. Looks like we’ll be time traveling back to the early 2000s for Megan Thee Stallion's Hot Girl Summer 2024!
