The capital of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia is replete with trams, including some dating back to the 1960 s. A few cars, used for charters and special events, are even older.
The coalfield region of Upper Silesia, Poland, is served by a vast network of electric interurban rail lines. In Lower Silesia, the city of Wroclaw also boasts an extensive tram system.
