JOHN SWEENEY AND THE BRAVE NEW WORKSHOP ABOUT JOHN SWEENEY After successful years in corporate real estate, John became a full time actor and improviser in 1993. He has entertained thousands of audiences for the Brave New Workshop Theater and Second City Communications. Now, as owner of the Brave New Workshop, John leads the nation’s oldest satirical comedy theater. In addition, John developed a corporate training curriculum based on the principles of improvisational theater and has presented to hundreds of organizations, including Microsoft, Yahoo!, General Mills, Hewlett Packard, US Bancorp, Target, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Medtronic. His first book, "Innovation at the Speed of Laughter: 8 Secrets to World Class Idea Generation" was released in April of 2005 and is in its fourth printing. John also wrote a screenplay, slated to begin filming in the fall of 2006. Most recently, John was chosen by Starbucks to be part of the company’s “The Way I See It” program.
