People say that true rock music is dead -- that the only thing being released nowadays is pop, indie, and hip-hop. People also say that mayonnaise belongs on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. We call these people Canadians, and we call them wrong. Rock music is alive and well in Chicago, and to see for yourself all you have to do is check out Run Logan. This four-piece outfit with roots in NY has been on the Chi-town scene for over three years, playing what can only be described as balls-out, straight-ahead rock music. Three delightful years of paying their dues, with shows at local staples such as The Note, Beat Kitchen, Subterranean, and Elbo Room.
