Trouble at Melody Mesa is a comedic western that was made mostly to showcase country western musical performers Cal Shrum and other popular musicians of the ninetine forties. The amusingly campy plot is overrun with the funny caricatures, but the real entertainment comes from the musical escapades. Cal Shrum and the Rhythm Rangers are the centerpiece, but they are joined by a number of nifty cameos. The Yodeling Rangerette and Brad King, who was sidekick to Johnny Nelson for years, are the highlights. Trouble at Melody Mesa is a healthy dose of tumble weed porch music good times. less
