On May 29th, 2001, this beautiful LP (low-precipitation) supercell formed in central Texas. LP supercells are some of the most beautiful storms in nature, and are formed when winds at different altitudes (e.g. wind shear) are just right. LP's are known for little rain, but very large hail. The original video was sped up about 10x to make this clip. This is the most beautiful storm I've ever witnessed. less
