Norway's Aksel Lund Svindal signalled he will not surrender his overall World Cup title without a fight by powering his way to victory in the season-opening super-G on Sunday. Svindal cruised down a sun-kissed Olympic course in a time of one minute, 29.19 seconds to collect his ninth career win and second of the season.
