Clarke Quay in Singapore is a historical riverside quay that is situated inside the River Planning Area of Singapore. In the late nineteenth century, Clarke Quay was the center of commercial enterprise; just beside it scores of bumboats used to compete for mooring space. Its warehouses used to be filled with goods for trade, and the sounds of buying and selling used to rant through the air. Now a haven for first-class entertainment and fantastic food, this place was earlier a trading hub. Now it reflects pop culture in an old architectural setting. Five of its restored warehouses now house restaurants and nightclubs. Today, the place boasts of some of the finest restaurants, enchanting entertainment places, sophisticated pubs and varied retail outlets.
