Live Rust is a live album by Neil Young & Crazy Horse, recorded on October 22nd 1978 at the Cow Palace, San Francisco and released in 1979 (see 1979 in music). Many of the songs on this release are taken from the same show which spawned the Rust Never Sleeps tracks, though the tracks on the Rust Never Sleeps record were edited and overdubbed somewhat. Also included are some stage announcements from Woodstock and Jimi Hendrix version of the Star Spangled Banner is used as the album s outro. There is also a Neil Young-directed (under his directorial pseudonym Bernard Shakey ) film of this show, called Rust Never Sleeps .
