This first episode was made as an experiment during my senior year in high school. To do the animation, I created a computer program (with the help of my friend Ted Kelly) that could write frames to ab AVI file with animation constructed in the editor. The animations have numerous layers for the background, characters and mouth animations synched to the soundtrack. This episode is mostly about an alien that comes to Earth and runs into Monito, the main character, who is a monkey that watches a lot of TV and gets high all the time. It also introduces Monito's roommate Orange Head, and Ribbet the Ninja Frog. Long story short, halfway through production we realized it was going to be about 10 minutes long when it was finished, and the longest other group project in that class was a 60 second clay animation, so we could basically get away with whatever we wanted. We threw in tons of drug references, and still got an A+ for the project. less
