shazap.com This is the first book of the highly anticipated, at least by me anyway, batman story arch Batman RIP. This book definatley lived up to all the hype. It was dark, creepy, mysterious and everything a good bat book needs to be. The mystery is provided by the appearance of a new set of villains calling themselves the black glove. The seeds of doubt have been planted in Robins mind after seeing all that Bruce has bone through recently and is still dealing with the fact that Damien is his brother. The book wraps up with a seriously creepy joker and lucky for us he’s been invited to the “Danse Macabre” Batman’s Dance of Death. I can’t wait to see where this story is going to go as it winds through all of the bat family titles in Batman 676-681, Detective 846-850, Nightwing #147-150, Robin #175-176, and Batman and the Outsiders #11-13. Get geared up for a powerful series with a heavy impact on the Batman’s life. less
