Canon L-1---Hi-8 video---In May 1995, at Hayward Field, right after the conclusion of the Prefontaine Track Meet, they had a special filming session to catch a rendition of the crowd response to Steve Prefontaine, in a track race. Here are a few minutes of the proceedings, all self-explanatory. In the first scene, the trim and foxy woman wearing a yellow "Go Pre" tee-shirt, is Neta, Prefontaine's sister. Next to her is her son, Mike. I don't know who the young woman next to her is, but she might be a daughter or other relative. There's a quick glimpse of Bill Dellinger, the Oregon Track Coach at the time. Everyone had a great time, although I don't know how much of it actually ended up in the movie. I shot about 45 minutes of footage and if forced, might show some more of it later. This was for the Disney movie about Prefontaine and another studio produced a separate version about the same time.
