Cisco routers inlcuding the Cisco 1721, Cisco 2621, Cisco 1811, Cisco 1841, Cisco 3845, and Cisco 3825 series routers have WAN Interface Cards slots that may accomodate the Cisco WIC-1T single port serial interface card. Companies that choose to use an external CSU/DSU such as an Adtran, can use a CAB-V35MT to connect to the WIC-1T for a T1 connection to either the Internet or a point-to-point T1 line. Another common use of the WIC-1T is by students who want to setup a CCIE lab and connect routers together in DTE DCE or DCE DTE back-to-back configuration using a cisco crossover cable.
