The Pruitts of Southampton was a situation comedy that aired during the 1966-67 season on the ABC network and starred Phyllis Diller and Gypsy Rose Lee. The plot basically revolves around the Pruitt family living in Long Island, who live like royalty in a huge mansion. Slight problem is that they are flat broke and live off the state. Each episode involves Phyllis trying a new hair brained scheme to raise money and keep it from the IRS. As you can imagine, it all ends in utter chaos. Phyllis Diller is hysterical in this series! less
