Centocor, Inc. announced today a partnership with David Garrard, quarterback of the Jacksonville Jaguars, to raise awareness and funds for Crohn's disease education and research. Through the program, In the Zone for Crohn's, Centocor will make a donation of $10,000 to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America for each touchdown Garrard scores during the 2008 NFL season. More information can be found at www.CrohnsintheZone.com, where visitors can also track Garrard's progress throughout the season. Crohn's disease, combined with a similar inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) called ulcerative colitis (UC), affects more than one million Americans.
