The 1960's Florida Garage Band Known as "The Roemans" backed Tommy Roe on Sheila, I Think I Love You, Diane From Manchester Square, and Susie Darlin. Bertie Higgins, one of the former members of The Roemans, went on to make Key Largo and other hits. Berry Oakley was in the group after he replaced Joe Pappalardo because of the draft. Berry went on to join The Allman Brothers Band and then was killed in a motorcycle accident in 1972. less
