http://www.LawCrossing.com San Francisco-based law firm Sedgwick Detert Moran & Arnold has expanded into the southeast US, merging with a Florida law firm that specializes in litigation. Sedgwick announced it is bringing on 21 attorneys from Gordon Hargrove & James of Fort Lauderdale. Once the deal is finalized January 1st, the merged firm will have more than 400 attorneys operating under the Sedgwick name. The deal adds Sedgwick’s tenth office in the United States. The firm also has offices in Europe and Bermuda. Pushing into Florida has been a goal of Sedgwick, said Chairman Michael Tanenbaum. Many of the firm’s clients have cases in Florida, and this new office allows Sedgwick to provide “comprehensive coverage.” less
