http://www.LawCrossing.com Global law firm DLA Piper launched a redundancy consultation today, that could lead to up to 40 job losses across its UK offices The review flies in the face of repeated denials from the firm in response to long-circulating rumors of job cuts. The firm is also to retrain 20 lawyers to join the restructuring practice, following a surge in demand for insolvency advice. While many firms are looking for redundancies, there are still firms that are trying to buck the trend and anticipate measured growth during the recession. DLA Piper is one of the largest law firms in the world and it is the only firm with more than 3,500 lawyers in North America and Europe. DLA Piper is a legal services organization whose members and affiliates are separate and distinct legal entities. less
