Act 2.1: Banquo and Macbeth meet, then Macbeth visualizes a dagger, with Duncan's future assassination plaguing his guilt conscience. Act 2.2: Macbeth returns to Lady Macbeth after killing King Duncan, leaving slight suspicion open. Both Lady Macbeth and Macbeth have blood on their hands, which will not leave their minds, creating a deep guilt inside them. Act 3.4: Banquo's ghost appears and scares Macbeth incredibly. He fears for his kingship and a strong feeling of guilt is instilled within him. Act 4.1: Macbeth meets the witches and three apparitions, who guarantee him he will live until Birnam Woods moves to Dunsinane, and that no man born of women can kill him. Act 5.4: Lady Macbeth is caught sleepwalking and talking by a Gentlewomen. The Doctor understands that guilt is the cause of this and only divine intervention will cure her. less
