TORONTO - The federal government has announced how it plans to spend the $24.5 million earmarked for the torch relay for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. Minister for Sport Gary Lunn says $12 million of the money announced in the federal budget will go towards organizing the relay, while the other $12.5 million will be spent on local initiatives to support community celebrations. less
