Produced for General Mills - Move over bake sales, car washes and candy drives - a nationwide program has now raised over $175 million to help our local elementary schools. School budgets across the country are struggling for funding - trying to provide students with the latest textbooks, computers and art supplies. But, the program Box Tops for Education is now helping 94% of America's elementary schools get the money they need - and giving parents a way to give back to the community. Now in its tenth year, the program allows parents to earn money for their child's school through everyday activities - such as clipping Box Tops from hundreds of participating products, shopping online for products that would have to be bought anyway, and using a Box Tops charge card. Schools have to register to earn the funds. But once registered, they can earn up to $60,000 a year for school needs. less
