Jesus' "this generation" second coming proclamation was fulfilled right on time in the fall of Jerusalem in 70AD. This is the Presterist view of eschatology. No other view effectively synthesizes the "time statements" of "soon", "near", "at hand", and "in a very little while". All Scripture is inspired by God and it therefore must be interpreted in the context in which it was given. Only through paradigm based upon faulty presuppositions force "soon" to be far off and "at hand" to be 2,000 years and counting. less
