To do this you need to first uncover what the employer’s needs are. There are two ways to do this: One way is to research the company. Find out all you can about them including any problems they may be having. The second way is to ask probing questions in the interview. Find out all you can about what their goals are. Once you know their needs, then you want to target your background as a solution to those needs. Tell them how you can impact their bottom line.
