Claiming to be the first American wheat beer ever produced, the Anchor Summer Beer is 50% wheat malt, yet oddly, completely filtered. We know that Anchor is one of the oldest craft breweries in the US, dating back to at least 1896. Unfortunately, that alone is not enough to make a beer awesome, and this one falls just a little short in our eyes. Anchor remains one of our favorite breweries, but this beer is not, in our opinions, their biggest win. less
