Project 9707, organised by the Hong Kong Design Centre, has linked Hong Kong designer Gary Chang with Italian houseware brand, Alessi. Chang says the project to celebrate ten years of design allows participants to explore a "culture of working" outside Hong Kong. Chang is designing a treasure chest for Alessi -- the second time he's worked with the Italian firm. He says the collaboration allows for re-evaluation of design work in a more international context. less
