A day in the life of a family afflicted with Autism. What we go through and how we are looked at by other's who have no knowledge of it. The worst thing anyone can say to us is "your child doesn't look Autistic"! Our children don't have a specific look to them. They look like any other child. Their disorder can range from mild to severe. No two Autistics are alike. Some share the same behaviors. Autism is a cognitive and social disorder. A nuerological disorder. This affects how a person learns,thinks, reacts socially and includes stereotypical and stimmulatory behaviors. Please ,the next time you judge someone based on strange behaviors try to be sympathetic of all parties involved. It won't be long before you know someone close to you with Autism. less
