In the early morning hours of Aug. 11, 2007, 5 minutes past midnight, a large Fireball exploded over the Sierra Nevada Mountains. A video of this event was captured by a Yuba City Sentinel research station(YCSentinel) which monitors Meteor & Fireball activity from sunset to sunrise each day. This Fireball is reported to have dropped 4 meteorites below the point of its terminal explosion in Calaveras County, California. Search efforts are underway to recover those fragments.
